Scream It's Halloween

entry picture

I go by the name of Henry and I have a torrid tale to tell

The date was Saturday October 31st in the year 2020

A day I will never forget a night of pure living hell

A pretty young thing called Camilla caught my roving eye

We had dallied and danced for a couple of weeks

About time I invited her over to wine and dine oh my

The scene was set and I cooked up a delicious storm

She arrived dressed to kill looking radiant and divine

We feasted and gorged on a rare juicy chateaubriand

The drink flowed freely it was an enchanting time

Feeling frisky and amorous we locked in an embrace

She raised her head and her full luscious lips parted

Revealing two razor sharp glistening ivory fangs

My face a picture of horror as out of the house I darted

Down the darkened avenue I ran like a man possessed

Camilla was in hot pursuit with her face in a scowl

I dodged ghosts and ghouls at every terrifying turn

The moon was full and distant werewolves did howl

Pumpkins were aglow witches and zombies in full flow

Giving her the slip through the cemetery I warily tread

Tripping over a tombstone I tumble onto a fresh grave

A flesh eaten rotting hand emerges filling me with dread

I smash it to pieces with a rock close to hand and flee

As vampires awaken and arise to quench their thirst

With stealth and guile, I make my way back home

Locking my doors and windows I am over the worst

Down the stairs she eagerly glides this is not a dream

My fate is sealed and I scream on this bloody Halloween
