I'M A LOSER

entry picture

I’m a loser.  I’m a loser.

And I’m not what I appear to be.

“I was 10 yards clear on the track’s final bend

How can it be that I lost in the end?

We were three goals up near the end of the game

How come we lost?  I hold someone to blame?

The score should stand once that I was in front

It’s just not fair.”  says some fat, mardy person.

I’m a loser.  I’m a loser.

And I’m not what I appear to be.

“It’s mine!  It’s mine! Says the spoiled party brat”

And makes his grab for the best birthday hat.

Remember despite all the mud that he slings

It’s never done till the fat lady sings.

I’m a loser.  And I’m not what I appear to be.

I’m a loser.  And so too is democracy.

I’ve heard him say – these are both of his quotes

He says “Stop the Count” and he says “Count the Votes”.

But whether he wins or he loses the game

A True Man will treat each impostor the same.

I’m a loser.  An arrogant and boastful fool

I’m the butt of international ridicule.

Thanks, Greg. An obvious nod in the direction of John Lennon. A less obvious one towards Kipling.
Thanks for the Likes, Kevin, Julie and Tom.

Great mid-60s John Lennon song, in what he imagined to be the style of Bob Dylan.

Very topical and entertaining - as expected from this source.
So the not so United States of America has a Post-it president-elect.
Hail to the Chief. Or, as Trump supporters might be inclined to call it: Hail to the Thief ! ? One for the courts on what is emerging, it seems.
