We put on our shoes
to take a walk
but walking is now
outlawed
it is too risky
they say
so we are told to
stay inside and
stare at the walls
isolate and
not go out
not drive
or ride a bike
or even go the park
it's all confusing since
Covid wanders around
at will
completely free to do
whatever it wants
just like it used to be
for us
when we were free
and happy.
