Christmas 2020 Collage Poem: The Other Side of Love
Trusting the metaphor of parental alienation
Drunk on the Tropic of Cancer before the hangover of reality
He left her for a bar stool
Four legs seemed more reliable than two
John and the Geisha girls are riffing rhythmic haikus on the railroad
Oh dear, don’t be late with a suggestive gift.
Little people appear everywhere.
A moment of sunlight between suicide and sex
And whatever lay on the other side of the train track
Was without hope and without name, but the McDonald's bag
held in hand and Christmas paper hat now used as a useless mask
With scrooge's words what kind of Christmas laying distance in the wind.

Measured lines produced
different single visions mirrored
reflected by viewpoints
words develop collage image.
