CREATION

WE HAVE CREATION IN OUR HANDS

AND DON’T KMOW HOW TO USE IT

BEAUTY LIES WITHIN OUR GRASP

YET FEAR WE MAY ABUSE IT

WE HAVE THE WORLD WITHIN OURSELVES

YET WATCH IT SLIP AWAY

LIKE JEWELS THAT SPARKLE IN MORNING DEW

THEN DISAPPEAR WHEN THE SUN BREAKS THROUGH

SOMETIMES I THINK LIFES JUST A DREAM

A FLIGHT OF FANTASY

IF YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU WANT TO BELIEVE

YOU CAN BE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE

I BELIEVE THE PATHS OF EVERYONE

MUST ONE DAY OVERLAP

AND WHEN THEY DO, WE’LL KNOW FOR SURE

IF LIFE AND DEATH ARE WHAT THEY SEEM

AND LOVE CAN CONQUER ALL WE DREAM

I should explain the cryptic dedication to Brian. CREATION was part of the '2 Poems'' piece which you so succinctly convinced me was in fact - two poems.
Thanks and dedication to all who have commented / liked.
Happy New Year. T

Well Trevor I'm flattered to have a poem dedicated to me, though I have no idea why. Maybe it refers to one of my pieces, or possibly is linked to a comment I made about one of yours. I'm sure the use of upper case is significant. Anyway Trevor you've joined a very small club that has written a piece for me, the other member is the erstwhile Don Matthews...and you'll have to dedicate quite a few more to catch him up. I think he was in love with me!

Enjoyed the poem.
