Laughter is a tonic in these times of grief,

Joy was brought to my heart by a gate thief.

When in Wales I visited a vicar called William Bevan,

Above the entrance to his church I read,"This is your gateway  to Heaven."

Underneath a notice had been placed which brought on a smirk.

"This entrance will be closed for 4 months due to repair work."

Fortunately  carrying the gates to his van the perpertrator fell,

And was arrested ,now locked up for a  year in his prison cell.
