Why am I here?

A friend asked.

Write a Poem,  "Why am I Here"

Well... my thought was,  and is.

I am here, to get to there!

And there,  is the Heaven.

Of which you are aware.

And... I get too there,  by living like my Savior Jesus Christ lived.

Loving,  caring,  and fair.

Just,  "Love one and other, as I have loved you".

To quote the famous man there.

Simple as that,  do so,  and you will steer clear.

Of wickedness and evil,  and you will have no fear.

But... We have been duly dammed to have the Devil near.

And,  living right,  is often done wrong.

Throughout the ages,  year, after year.

Bringing to many,  a sorrowful tear.

To avoid this.

Our Savior left us instructions on how to live.

In the form of a prayer.

The Our Father,  Our Lords Prayer!

A prayer taught to you by loved ones.

So,  you will not be lost and feel alone.

And you will not be driven to despair.

Pray these words!  and,

Do onto others,  as you wish them to do onto you.

Love,  Love,  Love,

Until your mortal life is through.

And too my friend that asked.

"Why am I Here" ?

To share in the Love of God !!

And we love you !!!

SO THERE.

JD.,

This poem certainly answers the question but from a Christian stand point, which I share but others might not. Love is an innate human quality and to display it often requires courage and perseverance. To make it one's mission in life is to make a valuable contribution to the world about us. Love takes many forms all of which are beneficial. Sadly the world is often misguided and love is forgotten in order to exercise greed and prejudice. We are engaged in spiritual warfare and the weapon in our armoury is love.

Thank you for this
Keith
