Stand Tall

I could have stepped in

And committed the sin

Of sticking my nose in your face

I held back

I didn’t attack

Didn’t want to get it wrong

There’s something wrong with this place.

I heard you

Making a noise

You stood tall

Never even needed me.

I didn’t step in

I know where you’ve been

I’ve been there too if you ask

I kept quiet

Kept it inside

I hope I wasn’t wrong

Would it make a difference if I’d tried?

To come through

Be a friend

Stand tall

Do what’s meant

We all say

If you do it right

You stand tall.
