The organiser of Sale Write Out Loud, Sarah Pritchard, is offering to donate the proceeds of sales of her autobiographical poetry collection, When Women Fly, to Stockport Women’s Centre, where she volunteers.

Sarah said on Facebook: “It's been a fiery, fierce time for women, for men. Women feel damned if they do and damned if they don't. If you'd like to do something to support women, I can think of nothing better than supporting women's businesses, art and centres.

“Here is my push back, resistance poetry, and the money will go to Stockport Women’s Centre, a pioneering one stop shop where women can get free counselling and therapy ((I volunteer) or advice about coercive relationships, law, finance, or drop in for tea, art classes and alternative therapies - when we open again.”

You can a buy a copy of Sarah’s book, published by Hidden Voice, for £5 +pp. Email Sarah at Sarah60pegasus@gmail.com.

Sale Write Out Loud was probably the first open mic night to switch to Zoom after lockdown a year ago, and is meeting again tonight on Zoom, Tuesday 16 March.
