Poetry on Tap
Two U.S. poets on tour – Colin Kelley and Karen Head (pictured) will be the special guest at Cardiff’s final ‘Poetry on Tap’ this Sunday.
Both poets are currently making big names for themselves on the U.S. poetry scene: novelist, poet and playwright Colin Kelley is from Atlanta, Georgia, and has just released his debut novel ‘Conquering Venus’ (Vanilla Heart Publishing), and Karen Head is the author of ‘Sassing’ (WordTech Press), and her project ‘Monumental’ was featured in a TIME online mini-documentary last year.
There will also be an open-mic session where you are welcome to share up to two of your own poems, places are limited though so please arrive early.
Poetry on Tap is co-curated by Ivy Alarez and Mab Jones, and takes place on the afternoon of Sunday, 11th July at 2pm, at the Old Orleans in Cardiff. Entry is £4, or £2 for open-mic readers; under 8s free. In addition to a lower entry fee, if you sign up to the open-mic you could win a prize.
