Revolution

I want a revolution now;

I want to smash the state.

I want a new society

To end this cruel stalemate.

I want to stop the lockdown,

Some lines of police to knock down;

The walls are going to tumble,

The edifice will crumble.

Hang on, they’ve opened up the pubs!

Oh well, mustn’t grumble.

Thanks to John and MC for the comments and to everyone for the likes.
I can't complete with Alex Glasgow but in both cases the pub seems to have had an effect. It reminds me a bit of the student revolutionary manifesto ("The revolution is here, but we'll have to wait until after rag week and then there's half-term. I really need to get that dirty washing back to Mum").

On balance, MC, Vent-a-gob is probably harmless compared to Rent-a-mob. Unless the gob happens to be next to you, of course!

I go along with JC. (Is that "guilt by association"? ?) The content
evokes -
Rent-a-mob meets Vent-a-gob!

I enjoyed this, Stephen. Quite the reverse of Alex Glasgow's "As Soon As This Pub Closes".
