They erected a cross
With gloom I express what I can,
not to do so will cause the demise of my soul;
sadness lacerates me like a dancing whip
To describe the incomprehensible in words is not easy,
to explain it is complicated,
to make it understandable is more difficult
People are slowly eliminated,
they agonize on a cross that has been erected for them;
hunger and disease spreads
and millions are driven to flee;
their dreams, present and future have been crushed...
Extenuating bombastic speeches,
repeated unfulfilled promises
and gimmicky distractions
fail to hide the wounds
or the sound of tears that fall like drizzling rain
Those who leave,
like dispirited sleepwalkers
undertake an unending journey;
each step is a thorn,
each mile seems like a century
Those who stay,
demolished, exhausted and unassisted;
their breath turns to stone,
discouragement breaks their backs;
more is the weight of feeling extreme cruelty
The rope of terror is veiled,
yet suspended in the shadows;
everyone is absorbed in face of a painful agony
that was thrown to them as destiny
to slowly bury their lives
Everything rots;
smiles and freshness fled
in face of the breeze that blows with stench of rancor;
poison and hatred is distilled every day
and the puppeteer spreads it
Nothing is left standing,
venom clouds the atmosphere;
freedom imprisoned
justice suffocated,
peace is simulated
and the word is crushed
Nothing is spared;
destruction is systematic,
everything is transmuted
into ashes and a graveyard!
A single word best describes
this darkness and silence;
Horror!
