A ray of light

Warms my body and my heart

A daily reminder 

That we are given an opportunity for a fresh start

 

In times of disconnection

When living can feel like hell

The sun gives us the same message

Of kindness and of strength; for us to be well

 

Sun beams wash over us

When the fight is hard

A memoir of a greater presence

Love sent through a greeting card

 

Tickling over our skin like friendly tendrils

On the most difficult of days

The sun lets us know

 that we are going to be okay
