I am nothing

but a grocery guy

a stocker of shelves

a sweeper of floors

a package boy

just a guy who

goes to work everyday

for minimum wage

I showed up for work

during the pandemic

just like normal

everyday routine

and did my best to keep the shelves full

and the customers happy

yet some now want to call me a hero

just for keeping people fed and safe

call me honest, sincere, dedicated, hard working

but don't call me Hero

save that for the cops, the docs,

the front-line workers

who were in the trenches

facing Covid every day

I am just an regular guy doing my job
