Passing Through
I caught you off guard when I said "Hello"
The greeting must've left you speechless as confusion was written on your face
Yet you replied with a smile
Tired and worn
But real enough to fool many
It was only an exchange of few words
But I knew there was more to be said
I felt there was little truth behind that "I'm Fine"
My mind won't let me forget the sight of you Sitting in silence
Alone
While the rest of the world moved forward
Your eyes lit up as our paths crossed once again
For a second I saw the light appear
Realizing the significance of my Hello I wish we'd had more time
Searching for you with no success I heard you vanished in the blink of an eye
I suppose you were a soul just passing through
And I had the chance of meeting your broken heart
My Dear
Wherever you reside
You are not alone.
