You may well have noticed that we have updated the look of the Write Out Loud website. Not only that, we have updated our popular Gig Guide, so that you can now list online and in-person events as well. It’s all down to the hard work of our highly skilled technical supremo and board director Paul Emberson, pictured.

Paul explains more about it all, below:

 

“Hi all,

You will no doubt notice that we have updated the look of the Write Out Loud website. If you follow us on social media, you will have already noticed that our new logo has been in use for a number of months. The website has now been updated to reflect this.

We have also tried to simplify some of the menus to make things easier to find. If you can't find something then please do let me know here so we can signpost it better.

The majority of functionality is unchanged so you can continue to post poetry blogs, discussions, etc just as before.

One functionality update is to the Gig Guide which now has the ability to indicate that an event is both being held in-person and online. Events can now also have images attached so that you can show guest speakers, your event logo, etc. This is just the start of a process to refresh the Gig Guide following many events being forced to stop or go online during the pandemic.
