Everything Happens For A Reason
Trundling along life’s main highway
on the busy drive to nowhere
Confronting the bumps in the road
proceeding with caution and care
Unperturbed by the route chosen
happily muddling on through
Expecting to stay on this path
not to change course out of the blue
One foot in front of the other
unsure of the destination
Taking one small step at a time
unswerved without deviation
We thought our way was mapped out
heading forward, not left or right
Until we reached a roundabout
now that pathway is out of sight
Not knowing which junction to take
we keep going round and around
Search the corners of our minds
but no direction we have found
There are decisions to be made
once made there is no going back
I hope the road we choose to take
will put our lives back on track
Everything happens for a reason
what will be, will always be
The journey we choose to take
will determine our destiny

Thank you both Stephens for the comments and likes.
Also thanks to Holden and Nigel.
I am getting dizzy already, need to get off the roundabout soon?
