I opened my eyes only to find darkness all around.
The coldness trapped me in its arms,
As I stood there emotionless, I was drowned.

Slowly it devoured me, I thought I had died.
Nothing was left to drive me to the light,
But due to the sudden blood rush, I somehow survived.

Two sides of a coin melted into one, brawling for power.
The smile disappeared into the frightening abyss,
As the tears were set free, pursuing me to be an avower.

The sudden shattering of glass snapped me back to reality.
There was no compassion or love, only the broken me,
As I looked at them, all I could see was hatred and pity.

I carried disappointment, guilt and self-hate in my heart.
It clenched when I heard the other me laugh,
As I realized the two worlds could actually part.

Her(my) parents were lovingly caressing her forehead.
Our eyes met, she flipped the hour glass
As everything fell apart, I jumped up on my bed.

"To love others, you should first love yourself."
I remembered the Whispers of the Angels
As I kept murmuring "How I could do it myself?"
