An Eerie Scene

A crispy layer of fallen leaves

slowly begins to grow

Underneath the shedding Autumn trees

a carpet forms below

 

Grey mist envelops naked branches

forming an eerie sight

It would take a brave soul walk this way

come this Halloween night
