"If I Let You In"

If I let you in

I’m gonna let you know

I’m broken like no other

I’m a shattered mirror that cannot be replaced

I feel like I’ve been locked inside my mind

Without a drop of hope

The words of despair tend to come and go

And my will to live is drowned in a lake covered in ice

And this box I’m locked inside

Is sound proof

So what comes out

Is the lies within the wind

And mind tells me I’m not enough

So I turn to pain

My body is an american cutting board

With little scars beaten into it

And when I tell you that I am fine

It’s a lie

A lie that cannot be put back

Because the truth must never show

The strength of the truth is like no other

It can break, hurt and tear people apart

You must never know the darkness

That lies within people like me
