We are what we think 

Some have lyrics 

Some with images 

Others with rhyming 

 

No matter what we express 

Whether in rhyme or verse 

Our emotions and feelings 

We lay them bare 

Before everyone else 

 

We aren't scared of anyone 

Neither their criticisms 

Nor analytical dissections 

 

We are always here 

Sharing our weirdest things 

Expressing ourselves 

 

We are naturist, idealists 

We are errotic, realists

No matter what philosophy 

We belong to one culture 

A creed of expressionists 

 

Creating a clear image 

Of our little heart's voice

Mind or mindless riddles 

 

Poets and authors 

Poems or novels 

Stories true or imagined 

We write just about everything 

A fly to bee, bumblebee 

Volcanoes and climate change 

Freezing to melting ice 

Glaciers and oceans 

We write fairly wide 

 

With experiences replete 

We share our bonds of relationships
