Bugs seek shelter
crawl under rocks
roof over head
and there they flop
their cozy home
as temperatures drop
being in a hole
should not be knocked
when weather warms
they adjust their clocks
come back to life
pulse never stopped
back from their basement
we are dumbstruck
how they survived
to run amuk.
