Resonance

entry picture

In the run up to world poetry day, I've been reflecting on why I enjoy reading and hearing poetry so much. I guess it's that 'I've felt that too' experience you get when a piece resonates so well. So here's a short little poem i've written just about that!

To transform your pen in to a wand

To enter lands far, far beyond

To weave a word

In to fabric of mind

To express emotion

Left undefined

To feel it's echo

On others' ears

Is how a poem

Dispels all fear

Big Thank yous to all who read & liked this and especially to Stephen, Nigel and John for your comments!

Stephen- Glad the 'un defined' line resonated with you ☺

Nigel- Great poem as always, Yes! It's all about the vibes

John- Love that analogy about words being the ultimate in recycling, so very true. I never thought about it like that. Hey we're really exchanging ideas here 'a wand for a recyclable word!' Let's use them wisely😁

Superb poem, Ruth. I have never thought or the pen as a wand before. Bravo!
I suppose words are the ultimate re-cyclable material, used over and over in different ways to reach out to other people. The world could learn a lot from words!
Thanks, Ruth! 😀

Shy Poetry says
words I write
opens up my soul
Strong Vibes says
expressing yourself means
I felt it too.

This is lovely, Ruth. 'Left undefined' is an key element, I think. One is left always wanting more, so one remains curious.
