Friday poetry

I know, I ain't no saint

But I love myself

I'm just a human

It's reason enough to love

I know, you ain't a saint

And you're as human as me

Then why can't I love you

If with flaws I can love me

I made mistakes, repented and cried

You made mistakes, must have done the same

With hope in the Lord of the worlds

I'm sure he will forgive us both, then why can't we

I'm a rose beautiful, with ugly thorns of past

You're more beautiful than I can sigh about

With all my ugliness, I admire myself the most

That's reason enough to look past your faults

I ain't perfect, nor imperfect in anyway

My love for me is unconditional and that's OK

Looking beyond your imperfections, I see perfection still

My love for you is as unconditional as it's been for my good and evil

I don't care what people say or think about me

Even you shouldn't bother about it in anway

I'm holding my lord's hand strongly, He does the same

You too hold the lord's hand, he will hold yours and I too will never let your hand loosen nor let go

Love is your gift to give
the past stays firmly rooted
love can move on
towards your happiness.
