TAKE YOUR PARTNERS

There is no heaven on earth

only pale imitations of sunsets on unholy ground,

but remember to love thine enemies

as they take what you thought was yours,

kill those you love.

Make music when the dawn brings them here

where they don't belong,

sad melodies, take your partners

love thine enemies

dance with death 'til the dream ends.

Thanks Stephen, Stephen, Holden and John for your welcome likes.

I'm so pleased you picked up on this Stephen, as it is one of those perplexing pieces; I was thinking of a war zone but also on a more philosophical level, how difficult it must be for victims to hold on to religious beliefs.

Intriguing as always, Ray. Not completely sure I understand the message but the wordplay is fantastic.
