Filled with families, young and old
made a warm and welcome sight

What a refreshing change it was 
to see this respectful crowd  
No booing to be silenced
by cheers that echoed loud and proud 

The men promised to bring it home 
for fifty six years they tried 
The women got bored of waiting 
and took the challenge in their stride 

Finally bringing football home   
to the delight of a nation  
This team of remarkable women
are truly an inspiration
