Cold-hearted Orb (after Graeme Edge)
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
with pallid, luminescent light,
aloof from what transpires below
in pale reflections of that glow
indifferent to your subjects’ plight.
Your peaceful presence, wan and white,
an ever-present satellite,
traversing overhead so slow
cold-hearted orb.
Relentless in eternal flight
that passes in unheeded sight,
and daily tides will ebb and flow
while time will pass and seasons go;
you’ll still be there again tonight
cold-hearted orb.

As a life-long Moody I like the poetry in several of the MB’s works. Good to see this interpretation. RIP Graeme Edge too.
Ps: the strap line on my blog refers to the MB’s too. Seeing Justin in October!
