Sensitivity

How much should we feel?

Should we allow ourselves to feel every little pinprick,

or should we wear our metal armor all the day through?

Should we buttress our delicate heart with iron clad panels,

or should we shake it all off & walk in unadorned nakedness into the world?

Well, a bit of both of course--

be brave but not stupid.

Protect yourself, little one,

But open your heart whenever you can--

There is so much love here,

feel it fiercely,

love carries its own sword

& will slay all the dragons with life-giving kindness.

Lovely poem. Life affirming with a splendid denouement.
