A Dangerous Man

I'm a dangerous man, when I'm all alone.
To moods of darkness, I am often prone.
I'm a dangerous man when doubts I greet.
When I'm all alone and I can taste defeat.

I'm a dangerous man, when rooms are bare.
When I'm all alone, with nobody to care.
I'm a dangerous man, when nobody's about.
When I'm all alone and I can see no way out.

I'm a dangerous man when the night is long.
When I'm alone and I await the first song.
I'm a dangerous man when the Winter's bleak.
When I'm all alone and the sun is weak.

I'm a dangerous man, when all I see is black.
When I'm all alone, when nobody talks back.
I'm a dangerous man, please can't you see.
When I'm all alone, I become a danger to me.

Neatly conceived with a perfect "pay off".

Oh yes, I continually have to remind myself of how lucky I actually am compared to many more unforunate folk I meet in my everday life.

Are we not all cast into this frame at some stages in our life. This poem goes deep into the soul of man and bears several readings.
Thank you for this
Keith
