Serendipity.

Serendipity found me

On this cold, lacklustre dawn

Her gracious hand reached out

And she wrapped me

In good fortune

What  a gift she gave!

She followed me so joyously

As she sang her unexpected tune

Such that sent the clouds adrift

And made the flowers bloom

She pushed away the night’s long slumber

She usurped the fading moon

Her arrival breathed

New air into my tired

And broken soul

She covered me in sunshine

She wiped away my tears

She kept my spirit buoyed

With hope, and unanticipated

Joy

Serendipity smiled on me

As she waved away the old

Follow me, she whispered

There’s a new day

Just for you.

The tenderness and fragility of hope. A true poem Clare.

"Serendipity is the instrument by which God reveals to each the beauties of all the others." CS Lewis

Wonderful poem, Clare

"She pushed away the night's long slumber
She usurped the fading moon... "

I love the concept of serendipity.

It's often portrayed as "I'VE found something", yet here, it's "SHE has found me".

I love your last verse.💐
