Court II

Court again

Taking me back to that very day

Two ropes attached to an elder tree

Across the river swung on the wind

But just last night nute slept right there

Cuddled up to the elder

They listened to water songs

Pluming when fish played the river depths

Between brunches I hide

to see

He is removing parts of the tree

A climber began his slaughter work

Limb by limb

Wise bark drops

Avoid it’s grasping! Someone shouts out.

The hand reaching out for protestors skin.

And stamp and stamp heavy boots crush the fingers

Breaking just like branches I hear.

A dark top and a bandana

Robin rood holding onto the branch crying

Crying for the life of both

of all

Shiver goes down my body

All triggered like a squirrel I climb higher up

My nervous system knows

There is nowhere to run

And like kids some stand below

turn to cold stone rock

First rodeo for some

You see now the truth

Ecologist

Playing a detective inspector from far too far

Too far from the tree does not even see me

While three murderers already cut it up by half

No limbs left

Make me want to jump

The wildlife dead

The beginning of another collapse

One last rope holding up the hope

It is her

Attached to what’s left of the tree

She

Suspended in air

As if three meters above heavens

Hanging

Dangling

Talking about reason

Her lifeline and the Elder

Connected

Entwined

The life line

I know they will hurt her

Drop her from hights

Kill our next elder

So this time

I close my eyes

Hold to that hope

She just lit up in me

Of a better tomorrow

Found not guilty.
