There By The Grace Of God

It’s cold inside and even colder outside
it’s cold by day and even colder by night
I seem to moan about the cold all the time
I even moan about the cold in this write

Sometimes

When I catch myself moaning about the cold
I think how lucky I am to have a home
To live in a country that is not at war
and that I don’t have to spend my days alone

Sometimes

When I sit in my home whilst watching the news
all the worlds troubles brings a tear to my eye
It’s then I put one more layer on and say to myself
“There by the grace of god go I”

How very very true Julie.

There are those, even in the UK who have very little in the way of basic comforts or even basic necessities; I count myself extremely fortunate now, and take pleasure in the simplest of things.
