Apologies to Write Out Loud users who found themselves unable to access the website for a time on Monday because of an unusual security warning that appeared on their computers. We’re sorry to say that we’re not quite sure why this happened. But when in doubt, reboot! That is what our technical supremo Paul Emberson did, and we hope it has resolved the problem.

Hi Uilleam. This is not related to commenting. Please could you email help@writeoutloud.net with info on which users can't comment on which entries. If you provide a specific example, I can look into it.
Also, I'd look to reassure everyone that, despite the message, there was no security issue with our server. Our certificate renewed (as it does every 3 months) as normal on 10th Dec 2022 but the web server did not pick it up and was serving the previously expire one until I restarted it.

I wonder if this latest problem was connected in any way to a problem several WOLers had recently when their denial of ability to comment was accompanied with a message to that effect?
