Darkness Doesn’t Last Forever

entry picture

At this time of year it’s dark
when I go to work there is no light
And when I return home again
it’s as black as a moonless night

I’m grateful for the weekends
when I pause for moments of pleasure
A sunrise to remind me
that darkness doesn’t last forever
