Lost in your Ocean
Mackerel sky stretches it’s skeletal fingers across the void
Eyes , introspect , thinking , looking , questioning
Sun breaking through thin cloud bringing hope to all
You sit, calculating, on bended knee I cup my hands
Tide washing , waves, raging on the rocks
Your offer is all I need
Rock pools left , trapping their catch
Your lips part as if to speak.
Cool winds blow the sand.
No expression no clue.
Sky meets sand
Your voice now low ,whispers to me
Mackerel ridges in the sand stretch into the void
I can’t hear you
The sea returns releasing the pool
We swim free to infinite unknown oceans
