Grooming The King
I left the spotlights to build the King in me.
Dancing to the blues alone with a busy mind.
Looking back at faces I tried to buy, silly me.
Even those who mock us aid to our maturity.
I find roles to play, no more throwing blames.
Wishing good fortunes to brothers on grind.
Saying farewells to fellows we parted ways.
Seeking growth in other dimensions, age is free.
So, I took time, effort, patience and planted each.
Some seeds take long to shoot, but they will grow.
I Look up to hopeful mentors in a modest society.
They say physique is health, I built routines for it.
I hear knowledge is power, I read bestselling books.
Good relationships breed peace, I’ve been mindful.
Opinions come easily, it’s choices that puzzle me.
Organized thoughts always end with give & take.
Most often than not, I am short on what to give.
The world owes no one, so, I count on few names.
We don’t ride or die, but our rides are harmonious.
Little indulgences heal souls, I give in sometimes.
I don’t practice much, but all of what I wanna be.
