INTERNATIONAL BUGGER-ALL DAY

It won’t have escaped the notice of those of you predisposed to commemorate such things that on March 8th it will be International Women’s Day.  What you may not be aware of is that according to the website “National Day Calendar” IWD is one of 47 (yes, 47!) other World/International Days in March.

If you are so inclined you can participate in and celebrate (among others) :-

  • International Transgender Day of Visibility
  • World Poetry Day (God spare us from a plague of submissions on WOL!)
  • World Puppetry Day
  • World Kidney Day (I must pop down to the butcher’s for some to enhance Mrs C’ excellent steak and kidney pudding)
  • World Sleep Day (you don’t need to get out of bed for this one)
  • World Obesity Day (ah, one I can celebrate)
  • International Day of Happiness (this one is mandatory)
  • International Day of Solidarity with Detained and Missing Staff Members (sod anyone not on staff!)
  • International Bagpipe Day
  • International Day for Achievers (aka International Day for Smug Bastards)

and

  • International Back-Up Day (presumably in case your particular fetish has not been covered above)

Some days in March (8, in fact) have nothing to commend them at all.  Hence I would like to nominate today, March 6th, a day when nothing is otherwise celebrated, as International Bugger-All Day.

I’m not sure “abuse of trust” is any more prevalent these days, MC. But I’m happy to celebrate it.

Judging by assorted stuff witnessed across the spectrum in
modern times, I'd add "International Abuse of Trust Day".
