Our friends

Yellow and blue

It’s every where

The sun the sky

The sea the sand

The corn swathed land.

The colours of nature

The colours of freedom

Pass me the blue

Pass to me the yellow

To hold in our hearts

To make it our pillow

To cloak our babes

To dance in the wind

Like the winter willow.

Hold the colour high

Though drenched with blood

Though drenched with fear

The rivers will flush away the tears

The larks will rise again in Spring

Nightingale song will drown the din

And free our souls with sweet sweet sing

Ghosts of the twilight they’ll conquer the dusk

Unperturbed they joyously busk

Blue and yellow will pierce the air the nations trident

Will slay the Bear

A poem which took my breath away as I cantered through it and with such a great ending.
Thank you for this
Keith
