Life can be a struggle
With struggle
We find joy
The pleasurable winter stores ran out months ago
Surviving off the beans and rice with the occasional chicken breast
The sweet natural sugars of the frozen strawberry now only in memory
And the canned peaches lastly eaten from a dinner well served has left me longly in desire
The cold left over a month ago
The sun has been gracing my sight, my body, and the earth
The water flows
The berry bushes blossom
The fruit trees flower
The garden becomes Alive!!
As is my Spirit!!

I like how you’ve lifted the mood of this poem towards the end.
