I do not like to engage in confrontation -
Though I may actually be in the right.
I do not like to have an altercation,
As it may lead to a fight.

Some words - they can be hurtful,
And they can be quite offensive.
Though I would like to be as hard as nails,
I always end up being defensive.

I would like to be courageous.
I would like to be tough and strong.
I would like to stand up to all injustice
If I should see a wrong.

So let me reside in harmony.
Let me live in total peace.
Let me feel sweet contentment
And hope this feeling shall not cease.
