"5-a-Day"

It started off with Tamsulosin to help relax my prostate gland

With Solafenacin the next, repeatedly prescribed as planned;

Lamzoprazole for acid reflux; then to try to get control

Atorvastatin was my 4th pill to combat high cholesterol;

Lercanidipine is the latest that I take to keep at bay

My raised level of blood pressure;  these are now my “5-a-Day”

I find this all quite disconcerting as I feel a healthy man

Little wonder I don’t rattle like 5 marbles in a can.

Ha...they sound like Spanish holiday resorts!! 😍
The medicos do love to prescribe their choice of drugs for what
they diagnose! When I was a very busy West End Met.Police
custody officer, I took time to enjoy a chat with visiting police
surgeons when they were needed - and still recall the huge
chart pulled from one doc's bag that was unrolled to display an
eye-watering range of medications to choose from. Now what
was that very recent concern about "Big Pharma"???

I used to cringe when I heard old people rattling off the names of their medication. Creepy. Now we’re all doing it
Furosemide Spironolactone Bisoprolol and Apixaban forever!

Thanks, JG. I wouldn’t describe these medications as my drugs “of choice”. My drugs of choice are chocolate Hobnobs.
And thanks for the Likes, Stephen and Holden.

Nice, do love a bit of poetry from the most unlikely of sources.

Rosuvastatin and allopurinol are my drugs of choice. Just a '2-a-Day' man me. My rattling a mere tapping, at least for now. 😊
