Thanks MC. A friend who walked Hadrian’s Wall the day it was chopped down said it is about a mile from the nearest road. What mitigation can there be for someone who lugged a chainsaw a mile over Northumbrian moor to do that?
With the arrest of that much older man, I wonder what more we
will learn about the "how and why" of this dastardly deed.
