A new thought has come to mind

Bathed in the light of a cerebral glow

Casually I examine it for any merit

Delighted I find that it has value

Encouraged by this new development

Firmly I grasp the concept at hand

Giving it a place to lay down roots

Hopefully waiting for it to expand

I rarely encounter a brand-new thought

Jaded, overworked expressions linger

Keeping a tentative distance for now

Looking speculatively at something new

Mangled misconceptions drift by slowly

Nefarious demons of doubt appear

Ostracized creatures of negativity

Penetrate the barrier that holds them at bay

Quickly I remand them within a deeper void

Repose restored I relax in the calmness

Silently watching this new inception

This genesis of new thought at its birth

Unfettered by the obligations of familiarity

Venerated as the aspiration of modern thought  

What form shall its visage transition into

Xenomorphic or strange forms of thought      

Yield the possibilities of creative originality

Zenith it is not for I have lost my newfound thought
