Face Facade
I could call you two faced, but that would be a lie
I doubt that I could find your true face even if I’d try
Some folks wear many hats to show they have versatility
But you wear many faces just to change your personality
When it comes to you, I rarely know just who I’m talking to
An acquaintance or a stranger, which are you friend or foe?
Must you wear a different face for everyone you meet?
Keeping track of all your different ones must truly be a feat
All that changing of who you are, reality at times must fade
Yet life seems to have no effect on you, it’s just a masquerade
A face for this and a face for that, you’ve done it for so very long
I’d bet if I asked which face was yours, you’d actually get it wrong
Have I ever really known you, I mean the face you were meant to be
Take off all your face facades, could you please unmask yourself for me
Strip down to your naked face, show me the one that’s never been peeled
Let me gaze once upon the secret you feel so compelled to keep concealed

An interesting theme. The fact remains that "we are all things to
all men" and adapt our behaviour and visage "to suit".
