The Wayward Wonky Walker

The wayward wonky walker

Loved the great outdoors

He walked hills and vales,

and mountain trails, and liked

camping on the moors

He’d wake up with the birdies

and whistle to their songs

Have beans on toast for every meal

Between walking and rambling along

He had no sense of direction

and got mixed up with left and right

So much so, that he would get lost

and have to be rescued every night

The authorities got fed up with this

So they hatched a cunning plan

The wayward wonky walker

Would be put inside the rescue van

The van would take him to a place

Where no walking could he do

So now the wayward wonky walker

Lives in the local zoo!

More welcome levity to liberate the humour amongst the misery.
A PS -
It's well known that country walkers
Are very partial to their jars
Of the sort of liquid refreshment
Unobtainable behind bars!
Beware you wonky walkers
Facing sobriety under the stars!
