CHRISTMAS SNOW

Once again - a thought for those who can't make it home for Christmas but who are always there

in their minds.  This version is from the crystal clear tones of the late lamented Marcie Summers.

1.

At home the Christmas snow is falling

I see it clear across the miles

I hear the happy voices calling

See the dear familiar smiles.

2.

Every Yuletide brings its reason

To celebrate old ways before

Family gathered for the Season

Friends and neighbours at the door

3.

Whatever in my life forsakes me...

Wherever in the world I go

I bless this heart that always takes me

Home again for Christmas snow

4.

Inside, holly round each doorway

Mistletoe as well there'll be

Bright-wrapped presents on the floor stay

Waiting underneath the tree

5.

Outside church bells are car-oling

Soft flakes dust the things they find

And Christmas snow is surely falling

In some other far-off mind

REPEAT 3.

6.

At home the Christmas snow is falling

I see it clear across the miles

I hear the happy voices calling

See those dear familiar smiles

7.

Every Yuletide brings new reason

To celebrate old days of yore

Family gathered for the Season

Friends and neighbours at the door

REPEAT 3 TO CLOSE

My thanks to Moonlight/HM/SA/SG and JC for the "likes". You
show discerning taste - as Oscar Wilde might say. 😌
