Scarred love
Can relations go back to how they were,
Deep, calm, filled with joy and happiness?
Once they are hit by storms of mistrust,
And they shatter into uncountable pieces.
The heart, once whole, now broken and scarred,
A rift formed by words that struck like blade.
How can trust be mended, once so hard,
No matter how one tries to heal the fray?
The past, the innocence, now a distant dream,
Reality awakens and rips the veil.
The ship of life wrecked on a turbulent stream,
Leaving the souls drowning, hearts frail.
To forget and forgive, a daunting task,
The wounds inflicted, deep and severe.
The venomous words, the evilness unmasked,
Impossible to erase, forever seared.
Love remains, but trust is shaken, lost,
Memories fade, nightmares have no cost.
The path to reconciliation is unclear,
The spilled milk cannot be gathered again.
Though love may still reside deep, sincere,
The trust that was shattered brings endless pain.
Yet, still we strive to mend what's been torn,
To seek solace in the fragments that remain.
But can we truly go back to how we were,
Or are the cracks too deep to ever sustain?
Though forgiveness may heal, scars will exist,
The wounds of betrayal forever persist.
