Your shadow

Something stirs

Waking from the endless night.

The sleep

Ready to journey on the black oceans

Dog sleep

Peaceful , gentle , warm and lazy

Drifting in dreamland

On seas of cloud

Oblivious to the world

But now it awakes

Half closed eyes

Observing the gloom

Ready to break free

From the ashes

Where it was cast

Time ago

Where it was supposed to stay

Your shadow passed by and awoke it

Swimming through the mercury

Your hand reaching down,

Pulling it from the chains

Gasping for light

Now not asleep

But aimless in the oceans of night.

Tossed by the firmament

Washed on the shore

Hands grasping the sand

Face down,

Bedraggled and worn

Return to the sleep

Or stand in the sun ?
