Bittersweet moments

Isabella sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the envelope in her hands. It was addressed to James, and it held the letter that would put an end to their relationship once and for all.

She had thought over her decision many times, going back and forth in her mind. But in the end, she knew what she had to do. Some relationships are just not meant to be, no matter how hard we try to make them work. And this was one of those relationships.

Isabella had loved James with all her heart. She had hoped for a future with him. But somewhere along the way, things had changed. The love that had once filled their relationship had turned into pain and hurt. And she was tired of holding on to something that only caused her pain.

She tried to search within her heart, to see if there were any lingering feelings for James. But as she dug deeper, she realized that time, pain and hurt had erased every piece of love she once had for him. She couldn't force herself to feel something that was no longer there.

She had forgiven James a long time ago for all the hurt he had caused her. And she was proud of herself for never blaming him. She believed that it was their fate and destiny to part ways. And now, she couldn't lie to him or pretend to have any feelings for him.

Yes, she could have lied for his sake, or for the sake of her one-time love. But she didn't want to build a relationship based on fake feelings and promises. She had analyzed the whole situation and had come to the realization that it was best for her to be honest and convey her true feelings, rather than try to save something that was never real in the first place.

She just hoped that James would take it in a positive note, without developing any ill feelings towards her. She wanted their relationship to end on a good note, like two strangers parting ways. But she couldn't help but wonder how James would react to her decision. Would he ever understand her perspective or would he be angry and bitter?

Isabella knew that time was a big healer. As time had healed the wounds of their past, it would also heal the fresh one. She acknowledged that their relationship had come to an end long before. There was a growing distance between them, lack of communication, and constant arguments. And yet, she had held on to the hope that their love would conquer all. But as days went by, she realized that sometimes, love is just not enough.

With a deep sigh, Isabella placed the letter inside the envelope and sealed it shut. This was the end. It was time to let go of a relationship that was nothing but a source of pain and hurt. And as she dropped the envelope into the mailbox, she felt a weight being lifted off her shoulders. It was a bittersweet moment, but she knew that it was the right decision for both of them. It was time to move on and make room for new beginnings.

Isabella had made such a painful decision
Once made there was no turning back
What was done - was done - no regrets
Peace had come with every word written.❤
