Full circle
So here we are again
We have turned full circle
Or so it seems
But we have turned another year older
And no matter how we try
Our resolutions to change all that was
To all that we feel it should be
Only grow bolder
This year I will lose those vital pounds
Shedding like so much Christmas wrapping
Or the unwanted brightly coloured pullover
My Gran knitted with one sleeve longer than the other
I will go to the gym like I always do at the beginning of the year
Until my knees lock and my frozen shoulder
Freezes all over again
I will stop the booze for a whole month
Except for Friday’s maybe the occasional Saturday
When it’s a big event
And Sunday during lent
I will stop eating take aways
Kebabs Curry’s and Chinese
And promise myself more fruit
Well, that’s alright there is plenty
In a bar of Cadbury’s fruit and nut
If only
Because I need all of this like a hole in the head
Yet I need this
Because I might fade away and I could be dead
So, the paunch that launched a thousand lunches may well
Have to hang around until May when the weathers warmer
When my well being
Has found it’s spring
Whoopee
I will be jumping for joy
As those pounds fall off
As long as my knees
My neck back and shoulders will allow
In the mean time mines a double
Cheers

Thanks Keith. Yes I think meeting in the pub for a pint would probably be my preferred option.
